Tokyo Story (Tokyo monogatari)

Old couple Shukishi and Tomi Hirayama live in the coastal village of Onomichi with their youngest daughter, Kyoko. Missing their children in Tokyo and Osaka, they decided to visit them. However, Koichi, Shige, and Keiso actually consider their parents' presence a burden, even sending them to cheap resorts. Only Noriko, their widowed daughter-in-law, sincerely cares for them. This trip opens the children's eyes to their attitudes during this time—a sad reflection on family and regrets that may be too late.
