Harry, a 19 year old boy, falls in love with Monika, a wild and rebellious girl. They escape from the city, spend the summer on a remote island, until Monika becomes pregnant. Harry tries to be responsible, while Monika just wants to have fun. Their initially beautiful love slowly cracks—can happiness survive when reality hits?
