Hinako returns to her hometown in rural Shikoku after years in Tokyo, only to find that her childhood best friend, Sayuri, has died. Sayuri's mother, who was once known as an expert in spirit summoning rituals, is now almost crazy with grief. When Hinako starts seeing Sayuri's ghost at night, she seeks help from a paranormal expert and realizes there is a terrible plan the mother is hiding for her daughter...
