Rashomon (Rashomon)
In the pouring rain, a priest and a woodcutter take shelter at the crumbling Rashōmon gate, telling a gruesome tale of samurai murder. Three witnesses—the bandit Tajōmaru, the samurai's wife, and the spirit of the samurai himself—give different versions of the events, each filled with lies and ulterior motives. When the woodcutter admits to hiding the truth, the question arises: who is really guilty? And can humans be trusted when every story is a lie?
