Lisabi: The Uprising follows Lisabi Agbongbo-Akala, an Egba farmer in the 18th century ruled by the Oyo Empire. After her best friend is brutally murdered by cruel tribute collectors who oppress the common people, Lisabi ignites the spirit of resistance by leading her people in rebellion against tyranny — can she succeed in uniting the marginalized peasants and overthrowing Oyo's oppressive rule for the sake of her people's freedom?
