Humoresque follows Paul Boray, a talented violinist from a working-class neighborhood who struggles to break into the world of classical music in New York. After meeting Helen Wright, a wealthy socialite who becomes his patron, Paul's career begins to take off, but their complicated romantic relationship is tested by jealousy, ambition, and inner stress — can Paul find a balance between his love of music and matters of the heart, and what will happen when ambition begins to take everything he loves?
