In 1893, Mohandas Gandhi was thrown out of a train in South Africa simply because he had brown skin and sat in first class. The event sparked his epic journey against injustice with non-violent resistance, turning him into a symbol of hope for the people of India. From South Africa to India's independence from Britain, his struggle was full of sacrifice—captivity, violence, and starvation—but his resolve never wavered.
