Anatomy of a Murder

Frederick Manion, an army lieutenant, is arrested for murdering bartender Barney Quill. He claimed the victim raped and beat his wife, Laura. Although Laura supported her husband's story, the medical report stated there was no evidence of rape. Paul Biegler, a shrewd little lawyer, takes the case and discovers Manion's possessive nature as well as Laura's reputation for flirting with men. Biegler realized prosecutors would paint Laura as drunk and taken by the bartender, then her husband killed her out of jealousy. With weak evidence, Biegler struggles to find a way to save his client.
